Getting It Right. .
.From The Start
MedCorp helped me get
started right out of medical school. I had been trained as an
endocrinologist and did not know much
about the business side of medicine. They took the fear out of
getting my practice started. They even bought my furniture and
had it in my office when I got to town. They assisted me in
getting all of my provider forms completed for BCBS, Medicare and Medicaid. I
do not think I could have gotten started without the help of
MedCorp.
MedCorp took over the
billing operation for a family practice physician
when the hospital who had owned the practice
abruptly decided they did not want to be
in the clinic management business anymore. The doctor was lost
and felt helpless as he had never had to manage his practice.
The billing component of the business scarred him the most. MedCorp was able to take that fear away and provided the doctor with
a safe and efficient way of getting the money he was due from the
services he provided.
MedCorp was called by a
local hospital to completely manage a
psychiatrist practice that was
moving into town. MedCorp handled the complete setup of the
physical office as well as the business management side of the
practice. The hospital took care of the physician’s salary and
benefits and MedCorp took care of everything else. The
physician only had to worry about his practice with the patients and
everything else including the billing was taken care of.
MedCorp was contacted
by a family practice doctor whose AR was out of control
and for assistance. MedCorp
did an analysis, refiled claims and within three months the
practices’ AR was under control. In
fact, the days in AR exceeded the Medical Group
Management Associations (MGMA) recommendations for days in AR. The
day for gross Fee For Service (FFS) charges in AR were less
than 40
days. The percent of charges over 120 in AR were less that 10%. The
adjusted FFS collection % was 99%. Needless to say the
physician was very, very happy with the status of his
accounts receivable.
