  9. Does MedCorp outsource to another billing company or to a foreign country?

No. MedCorp is operated out of Gadsden, Alabama, approximately 60 minutes north of Birmingham, however we have clients all over. We perform every step of the billing process fully in house, with our own MedCorp staff. We will never outsource anything to any other individual or entity, especially not to a foreign country. The only way to ensure our client’s success is to have a completely hands-on operation. We take great pride in our employees, in our company, and in our work.

  10. If I switch to MedCorp, what will it cost me?

At MedCorp, we charge our clients based on a percentage of total collections. We never forecast revenue or book ahead. Basically, if we don’t make money for you, we don’t make money. By working off of a set percentage, we are highly motivated to do all that we can to assist you in sending out clean and accurate claims that are paid on time and to the maximum allowable rate. Your percentage will be based on your patient volume, claims volume, and monthly revenue.

  11. Are you going to hit me with hidden fees?

MedCorp can give you an all inclusive rate based on collections or we can split your bill based on a lower percentage plus a fee for sending your statements. We hate hidden fees. At MedCorp, we hear from providers all the time who say that they are sick and tired of receiving their invoices from their billing companies, only to discover that they are being charged way more money than was originally agreed upon. We have even heard of other billing companies charging higher fees for Medicare claims than other payers. We will never do this as we know that electronically submitting claims or mailing claims costs the exact same amount. Quite frankly we don’t understand why companies can’t be upfront and honest about their pricing from the beginning.

  12. When I have a question, will you actually answer the phone, return my call, or respond to my email? Will you directly answer my question or will I receive the usual runaround?

We have no problem answering phone calls, emails, or any other form of communications. In fact, we enjoy talking to our clients on the phone. We know that the only way to have a successful relationship is to always have an open communication line. We have absolutely nothing to hide and will gladly answer any questions that you may have. You will have a dedicated account manager and billing specialist available to answer any questions you may have. We will always respond in a timely fashion and will get to the bottom of any issue that may arise.

  13. Will you allow me access to view my billing account/data or is this top secret information that I am not allowed to view?

We believe that your data is your data. You work hard as a provider and are entitled to view, receive, and manage all of your hard work. When you choose to use our billing software, you have your data locally at your office and allow MedCorp to internet access your data. Therefore you have access to your data whenever you want. We would never dream of holding your data ransom or try to prevent you from being able to keep a close eye on your data.

  14. How can you afford to charge a lower percentage than other billing companies? Is my service going to reflect that?

We have built a very stream-lined process that allows us to keep our overhead low so that we can pass those savings on to you. Some of the ways that we are able to do this is by using competitively priced billing software, highly experienced staff, and constantly seeking new ways to innovate our model. No matter the percentage you pay, you will always receive the best professional service in the industry.

  15. Why should I trust MedCorp when other billing companies have made empty promises and delivered nothing in the past?

Bottom line is that you can’t. Once you have received poor or unsatisfactory service, we know how hard it is to trust another billing company. Think of it this way: if you have a bad experience with an attorney, do you never use another attorney ever again? Or do you do your homework and hire another attorney that does a great job and is able to fix your issue? The only way that we can earn your trust is to simply give us a chance. Let us prove to you that not all billing companies are the same.

  16. MedCorp claims to be able to increase my revenue up to 20%, but is this really possible? How can you do this?

Yes, this is very possible. During our 65 cumulative years of billing experience, we have learned proven and effective ways to increase your revenue. We do this by thoroughly reviewing your account, assessing areas for improvement and then working with you hands on to implement these changes, For example, many providers are using outdated or invalid icd9 and/or cpt codes. Our certified medical coders stay up to date and current on all changes and can ensure that you are using current and valid codes. This is just one of the many ways that we are able to help you improve your practice.

  17. Can I really pocket up to $44,000 from the federal government by using an emr? Is it really worth it?

Yes the government will really give you this money, provided you are an eligible medical provider. Give us a call to discuss your eligibility. We offer a reasonably priced EHR and will be glad to assist you in implementation and training of you and your staff.
